Ramblings:
Random Images and Musings

I went shopping at Heinen's in Twinsburg with my wife this morning.
While she did the real shopping, I browsed the wine section. I know
a little about wine, slightly more than "red for beef and white for poultry
and fish", but not much. What intrigues me are the label designs, so,
armed with my new iPhone, I played with the 2 mpixel camera. . .

Australian wines seem quite popular lately, so of course you see
kangaroos on the labels.

Animals, animals, animals. . . all zoological genre and artistic styles.

The designs are extremely varied, and a study of the wine racks
are like a review of design through history. There are all sorts of art
movements represented: cubism, realism, impressionism,
modernism. . .all the isms.

Some designs are minimally graphic in nature, and very animated.
If you imbibe these, will you soon be jumping and shouting
in a drunken hysteria?

If you have a friend who is a plumber and he owns a red truck, perhaps
these two selections would be appropriate for his party. . .if, of course,
he was serving spaghetti and fish.
