Summer Reading List
OK, students, only a month or so left to get that summer reading done. This summer I've returned to my first reading passion, sci-fi, and focused on a writer I have long-neglected (most of his books were written in the 1960s and mid-70s). With a visit to a couple used bookstores and an order from the most excellent Joe of Rudy's Books, I've got most of Samuel R. Delany's science fiction output all lined up for vacation... check out what I've been reading when I should be illustrating here. |

The two latest Armchair Theologian books (I have illustrated 9 so far) will be published this fall. They are shown at right, and are available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
Meanwhile, I continue work on the 10th book in the series, Martin Luther King, Jr., for Armchair Theologians, by Rufus Burrow, Jr.

IT'S SUMMER-TIME!

...which means it's time for me to try something different (even if I do it poorly), like painting. The artwork above is a dead tree in a hemlock stand in the South Chagrin MetroParks. This was one of two canvas-boards I painted, and it is by far the better of the two. I think a chipmunk threw up when he saw the other one.
Below are 2 pictures from the Art by the Falls festival
on June 8th & 9th. I always get to draw at least one dog. . .
